RE: Server Upgrade ~Sean Asaboosilylen 18.Apr.03 01:46 PM a Web browser Domino Server 6.0.1Windows 2000
Just an update - since we downgraded (to 6.0) a week ago, we have had no more corruption or server crashes.
Incidentally, we also are not running quotas.
Regarding the old messages reappearing - we had a lot of this as well, and I believe it's because folders became corrupt, and many documents lost their folder identities during fixup. Another fun side-effect of this upgrade, and really frustrating to users who spent years carefully sorting messages into folders.
Although I'm always sorry to see other people having issues, in a way it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who had a problem with this upgrade. The support staff at Lotus who helped me last week have since called and told me they've received more calls with the same symptoms, so it does not appear to be isolated to our environment. I hope they get these issues resolved in the next release so we don't have to stay on 6.0 forever - although I'm very nervous about upgrading again, period!
